Children (Under 14)
Tailored Support for Deaf, Deafblind, and Disabled Children
We know that every child’s experience is different and personal to them. Our Support Workers for children under 14 have experience of working with young children with lots of different needs. We take care to match the child with a Support Worker who understands their specific communication needs and can be a good role model for them.
We work closely with the child and their family or carers to develop a support plan that is unique to them and that helps their development. We make sure to regularly review their plan and develop it with the child as they grow.
Our services include:
- Building confidence and identity, and meeting role models and peers.
- Teaching them how to communicate better with family, friends, and at school.
- Accessing and enjoying activities, and learning through games.
- Learning new skills and how to form healthy relationships with friends and family.
